The LGBTQ+ Democrats of Virginia is the LGBT Caucus of the Democratic Party of Virginia. It was formed in 2009 as the official LGBT+ organization within the Democratic Party of Virginia.
Their role is to be the champion organizer for the LGBT+ community in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
With it nearing election day, LGBTQ+ Democrats of Virginia wanted to share some important information, deadlines and website links that may help citizens be informed and cast their votes! Please read!
The LGBTQ+ Democrats of Virginia work to ensure that we have an engaged and informed electorate and equality minded candidates on the ballot. We encourage everyone who is registered to get out and vote. There are several options to voting: early in-person voting, mail-in voting and, of course, in person voting. We encourage you to make a plan and make it happen. Here are some important dates to remember:
Deadline to register to vote, or update an existing registration: Tuesday, October 12, 2021.
Deadline to apply for a ballot to be mailed to you: Friday, October 22 2021. Request must be received by local voter registration office by 5:00 p.m.
Voter registration offices open Saturday, October 23, 2021 and October 30, 2021 for early voting. Check your local registrar for hours.
Last day of in-person early voting at local voter registration office: Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 5:00 p.m.

Register to vote or apply for a ballot online using the Citizen Portal; the date to register to vote Tuesday, November 2, was October 12.
In person voting at your assigned local precinct, Tuesday, November 2. Check your registration at Citizen Portal.
