Pride Community Storytelling Event
Perhaps one of the greatest gifts we can offer to fellow community members is a unique look at the lives we’ve lived. The lessons we’ve learned. The people we’ve connected within our journey. As we prepare to celebrate
PRIDE Month we are incredibly excited for the opportunity to showcase
YOUR voices and your stories.
Our theme for this event is Queer Voices. This can include an exploration of your journey to finding yourself, coming out, living into, or affirming and holding onto the joy in your lives. Tell us your story and

Online Storytelling Workshop Series: Leveraging Our Voices,
starting April 11th
More than ever, the world needs to hear our voices. The stories of our lives are complex, diverse, passionate, and are always worth sharing. In spirit of Staunton Pride's #takeupspace theme, we are excited to provide an opportunity and platform for you to craft a story, share your life's journey, and take up space!
Facilitated by Sabrina Burress, ARROW Project Executive Director
Telling our stories: Nathaniel Preston (EV Trans Advocacy Speakers Bureau): March 11th
We'll be hosting Nathaniel Preston, a speaker from the Equality VA Trans Advocacy Speakers Bureau. He'll be telling his story and will participate in a Q&A discussion facilitated by Cole Troxell (Staunton Pride). Our hope is to build understanding of the experiences that the trans and nonbinary community face here in the Valley, and to foster open and candid dialogue about their experiences.
Event will be livestreamed on the Staunton Pride Facebook page. Zoom link is also available.
